Once we settle on a design we will give you an accurate estimate of the cost. When you are ready to get started we ask for a deposit of half with the balance due upon completion – usually 4-6 weeks from the time we start. We work in any metal. FINE JEWELRY APPRAISALS
Here at Plateau Jewelers, we have teamed-up with experts who can provide the two most common types of appraisals – Insurance Replacement and Estate. Insurance Replacement appraisal values are based on the cost to replace your jewelry item in a retail jewelry store. The Estate appraisal is usually performed for estate tax purposes. Our appraisal fees are a flat rate of $125 in most cases. Watches are a bit more at $150 each. Our appraisers are both well-educated and experienced.
If you haven’t had your jewelry appraised within the last few years it is time to have it appraised. We will provide you with a digital copy of your appraisal that you can forward to your insurance company or print copies as needed. Having your fine jewelry pieces professionally appraised will allow you to list your jewelry items separately on your insurance policy.
